When we are on third base as a base runner it is crucial because we are only 90 feet from scoring.  It is very important that we get a good jump and read when the ball is hit.  We have to aware of our positioning and distance from the bag.  When we are on the field we want to take as much as the third baseman will give us and depending on the game situation, we will be ready to go or go back.
